GB Solutions staff walk towards helping charity
Three members of the GB solutions team spent their weekend out covering the miles to help raise money for Cancer Research and Sue Ryder Care.
Specialist consultants Christina Duncan and Sarah Rossiter took part in the ‘All Join Together’ 10k walk in aid of Breast Cancer Research. The Gloucestershire Charity event saw over 350 people to walk the 10k distance; Christina Duncan said “I really enjoyed the walk, a huge thank you to all of the people that sponsored both Sarah and I”. The event held at Westonbirt Arboretum raised over 10,000 pounds for Breast Cancer research.
Director Paul Blower attended an annual charity ramble across Bredon Hill to raise money for Sue Ryder Care on Saturday 3rd November. Sue Ryder (Leckhampton) cared for Paul Blower’s late Father-in-Law, Peter Cosh who sadly died with them in April 2006 having suffered a brain tumour. “This is an annual event that we have organised for the last two years which falls on Peter’s birthday. So far raised over £3,000 for this wonderful cause and I would like to give a big thank you to everyone that joined in and helped raise the money.” If anyone is interested in taking part, the next walk will be around the same time next year so please call Paul who will forward you the details closer to the time.
